My favourite relative

Although my mother is the most loved person for me, I dare to say that my middle brother is my favourite relative, his name is Angel. I consider to Angel as my favourite relative because he is not only my brother, he is my friend and I know that I can trust in him.

About Angel, I like his personality because he is very kindly. Currently, he is member of a group of youngs dedicated to do social work with poor people. He and his partners do activities for collect contributions of differents organizations or people for help to abandoned children.

Currently, Angel studies for to be a civil engineer at university  in Peru, and in his free time, he goes to the cine, practices soccer and does some of homework

When I lived in Peru, and we were younger, we played chess, practiced soccer and cycling, traveled to other cities and watched movies together.

When I started to work, we stop doing many activities together but always talked about his studies and activities and organized together the birthday of my mother.
Currently I live in Chile, and I talk with Angel by Facebook. We are communicated

I have many memories with Angel. I remember when we were children, we went with my other brother and my mother  to a peruvian city called Tumbes and we enjoy so much.
I also remember the celebration of his 18th birthday. It was very funny because I did some jokes and his friends laughed. He was very happy and everybody enjoyed.
However, I can say that the most touching memory is when I left my country and we say goodbye and shed tears.

I can say that I learned from my middle brother that we feel happy when we help to people. He is a good boy and I desire to him happiness and success.

Gender roles and stereotypes

1) I agree with the article because there are many gender stereotypes in the world but I believe they are only stereotypes. Each person has a own personality and It is normal for men to cook or for women to be doctor. The most important  is that men and women do things that they love to do.

2) I think that among the gender stereotypes based on biological factors, we can talk about women are not as strong as men. It is because the organism of a man has an hormone called testosterone and it gives force and vigor to men. Although there are women stronger than men.

3) I will give my opinion about 3 female and 3 male stereotypes.
  • Women are nurses, not doctors.  It's false in my country because there are many women that are doctors and there are men that are nurses. My best female friend is a doctor and lives in my hometown, and in my family, my cousin is studying for to be a doctor and she likes doing this study.
  • Women don’t need to go to college.  It's untrue in my country and the most of the world. I'm peruvian and in my hometown called Chiclayo, many women go to college. In my family, all women went to college and they continued to study at university. For example, the sister of my dad went to college and she is nurse now. My mother also went to college and university and she is now teacher.
  • Women are flirts. About this stereotype, it's true in my country, my hometown and my family. To be flirt is part of the personality of women.  I believe that in my family all women are flirts sometimes.Personally, I think when women are flirts sometimes, they are very female, but if I watch that a woman is flirt with all men all time, I will not pay attention to her. If I want to give an example, some women smile, touch their hips and blow kisses when they pose for a photo.
  • Men do not cook, sew, or do crafts. In my country and in my hometown, it isn't true because the best chef in Peru is Gaston Acurio and he is a man. In my family if I would think that men do not cook, sew or do crafts, I will be an stupid. Personally I don't like to cook but I do some about this activity but my brother loves to cook y he is good in the homework.
  • Men are good at math. It's completely true in my family but in Peru, my country, no all men are good at math. In Chiclayo, my hometown there are many men that are very bad at math and they can't do a simple multiplication.
  • Men play video games. It's true for many men, but no for all men. I'm from Peru and I watched that in some places of my country, men don't like to play video games because they prefer to play soccer. In my hometown there are many men playing video games and in my family, my brothers like to play video games all weeks.

Post 4: My favourite piece of technology

My favourite piece of technology is my laptop. I bought it 2 years ago and I use it everyday. I use my laptop for study, make simulations with networks, play some computer games and talk with people by Facebook and Skype. Since I arrived at Santiago, I have turned on my laptop everyday because I'm some addict in the use of social networks.

I like my laptop because it is the principal tool for study and talk with my loved people and friends. My laptop has a good processor and 4 GB of RAM. About the operating system, I use both Windows and Linux on my laptop.

Currently, I'm using my laptop to simulate a call manager with some virtual telephones. This simulation is possible when we use VoIP (Voice over IP). It is good but It spends RAM, so I will increase the RAM of my laptop.

I think the security is very important so I use passwords for enter to the system on my laptop and I never give to someone my passwords.

I think I can't live without a laptop. I believe I will always need a laptop because it does my life easier.

Post 3: Opinions

Same-sex marriage
Personally, I think that same-sex marriage is a great madness because the marriage was done to have a family and a family is composed of parents and children. In my opinion the children will grow with an incorrect idea if they think to have two fathers or two mothers.

Child labor
I disagree with child labor because the children should be studying, playing and enjoying. The children were born to be happy and their must not work.  What I mean is everyone should live each stage in the appropriate age.

Recycling
I agree with the recycling because it is an activity that helps to care about our planet. When we recycle things to create new tools, we are saving some money and it is very good. Also, I think some recycled things can be used by the poor people and we can help to decrease some of the poverty.

Cloning
It's difficult to speak about the cloning because I like the science but I'm catholic. Personally, I think the cloning in vegetables and animals can be some good, but I disagree with the human cloning because the humans were born to procreate and the people have souls and they only aren't matter.

My future career

I'm in the first semester for a Master in Engginering of Communications Networks at University of Chile and in the future I would like to specialize in Unified Communications. It is the study of integrator networks of voice and video over IP. I think in some years after, the traditional telephony will not exist because we will do calls by Internet. It is happening now, but it is used by a few people.

I study for a master but I'm also interested in the solutions of Unified Comunications made by Cisco Systems. I'm Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) but I'm starting to study for a next certificate: CCNA Voice.

In the future I will have got a master degree, but I'd like to have 5 certificates by the most important enterprises of networking as Cisco, Microsft among others.

I will return to Peru in 2016 because I should teach in a university of Peru topics about networking for a year. It is my commiment with my country and I will be happy to do this educational work but to be a teacher is not my dream.

I'd like to work in some telecomunications enterprise in the area of Unified Communications and to be a technology manager in the network core in this enterprise. I'd like to work in a enterprise as Claro, Telefonica or a partner of Cisco.

Post 6: A picture that I like

The picture that I like is the picture of the "Titicaca" lake in Puno, Peru. I like this picture because it is the beautiful lake in my country and I was in this place three years ago when I worked in the organization called "Jurado Nacional de Elecciones" in Peru. I think this lake is wonderful and represents the peace and tranquility.

I was in Puno in 2010, and I had an opportunity to know the "Titicaca" Lake and took many pictures of "Titicaca".

When I took the picture, I saw the clear water, the blue sky and the small islands in the "Titicaca" Lake and I was impressed because the islands were made with vegetable called Uro by the people that lives in these.

About the tourism in the "Titicaca", I can say there were some tourist restaurants in the islands of Tititicaca when I went to know this lake, but I didn't eat beacuse thought the prices of the plates of food were very expensive.

I would like travel to Puno and go to the "Titicaca" Lake again.
